Often, it can be difficult to get all the nutrients your body needs when following a keto diet. This keto green smoothie is low-carb AND packed with lots of healthy green veggies and nutrients to keep your body in peak performance mode!

I love smoothies for breakfast or lunch because they are quick and easy to make and can easily be altered to give your body what it needs that day. Sometimes I make protein or fat smoothies, and sometimes I just need a smoothie with lots of green veggies and nutrients (because I plan to get my protein and fats elsewhere that day).

This Green Machine Veggie Smoothie contains cauliflower (which helps boost the immune system), celery (a super detox veggie), spinach (full of vitamins and minerals), kale (rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A and C), and cucumber (for hydration and vitamin K). It also includes flax seed, almonds, chia seeds, lemon, and green tea to add an abundance of vitamins and minerals such as omega-3s, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and so much more. As always with smoothies, you can add anything else your heart desires to enhance the flavor or add more nutrients. I sometimes add a tiny bit of local honey or bee pollen to help tame my allergies. I also suggest adding half of a green apple or banana, or a couple drops of liquid stevia to sweeten it up a bit. If you need to add fat, you can include some unsweetened coconut or MCT oil.
